Freedom of Information Act Request
From Best Friends of Lowcountry Transit, Inc. & William J. Hamilton, III
To BCD Council of Governments & CARTA

Pursuant to Section 30-4-30 SC Code of Laws, 1976 as amended Best Friends of Lowcountry Transit and William J. Hamilton request that the following documents be produced and made available for inspection and copying within the times set out in the statute. We authorize payment of up to but no more than One Hundred Dollars for the cost of copies, as authorized by the statute.
The documents requested are as follows:
Ridership data for the Summer/Fall 2020 trial operation of the service and any reports on the performance of that service.
Communications to or from the Governments of the City of Isle of Palms, Town of Mt. Pleasant, Town of Sullivan's Island or the Charleston County School District regarding beach service to or from the beach at the Isle or Palms or Sullivan's island sent or received since January 1st. 2020.
Schedules, Route Maps, publicity and Planning documents for the announced bus service to IOP for Summer 2021.
Contracts, correspondence or communications between CARTA and/or the COG and any contractor or business involved with planning the bus service to the beach.
Any email, discussion or record regarding public advocacy regarding bus service to the beach by or about any public advocacy group opposed to or supportive of beach bus service including Best Friends of Lowcountry Transit. The Chamber of Commerce, Black Lives Matter, NAACP, Charleston Moves, The Low Line, Quality of Life Committee including communications to, from or about such advocacy created, exchanged or possessed by the Council of Governments or CARTA.
Any complaints, correspondence, petitions or other communications between CARTA and the COG to or from any third party regarding the planned bus service to the beach, including the general public, property owners or commercial enterprises.
Announcements of any meetings or events planned for the future regarding bus service to the beach.
This request shall be a continuing one operating from now until September 10, 2021.
